Happy New Year! We hope you all had a nice break and managed to get plenty of reading done — we certainly did. While most of the team downed tools to eat Christmas pudding, artist Aimée Uigur has been hard at work on the cover art for our forthcoming issue — and we’re delighted to be able to share the finished piece with you today.
Aimée Uğur is a self-taught artist and designer based in Cambridge with an MA in Modern and Contemporary Writing from the University of East Anglia. Embracing both traditional and digital mediums, her work features a variety of literary-themed projects, including book covers, illustrations, and portrait and landscape artworks. You can find her portfolio here and on Instagram.
Issue 16 will be a ‘Journeys’ special, featuring new writing by Jean McNeill, Karen Kao, Elizabeth Lewis Williams and more besides. It will be available to preorder shortly — and of course you’ll hear about it here first.
